The Surrey Hills 3 Peaks Challenge
If you are looking to take on a walking challenge down south, then the 36km / 23 mile Surrey 3 Peaks Challenge is a must.
Starting and finishing at Denbies Vineyard (a short walk from the main Dorking train station) we head out on into England's most wooded county to take in Leith Hill, the highest point in the south east, Holmbury Hill and lastly Box Hill.
Our reward for the uphills are glorious views across beautiful countryside and plenty of interesting sights along the way including Surrey's waterfall, WW2 pill boxes, iron age forts, Leith Hill Tower and the famous Box Hill Stepping Stones. The route touches on the long distance routes Pilgrims Way, the Greensand Way and The North Downs Way. With a total ascent of just over 1000m the Surrey Three Peaks is a long day out nd one which will leave you with a huge feeling of achievement. Click here for more info
